PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT

Before the skating season begins, we invite all CanSkate and PreCan parents and those interested in joining our club to a Parent Information Night! This is your opportunity to meet the coaches and ask any questions you may have about Skate Martensville and our skating programs.

Date: Tuesday, September 26
Time: 7:00-8:00pm
Location: Martensville Sports Centre (rink) upstairs in the mezzanine.

Coach intros
Skate Canada affiliation
Fundraising
Policies
What is CanSkate?
Program Assistants
Circuits & Fast Track
Grouping skaters, name tags
Evaluations
Badges & Ribbons
Skates, Helmets, Clothing
Important Dates

We usually cover all the information in about a half hour, but you are welcome to stay and chat with the coaches and executive members at the end.

PA TRAINING

Program Assistant Training will take place in the rink mezzanine on Thursday, September 28 from 6:30-7:30pm. PA Training is mandatory for all STARSkaters who are STAR 2 and up. The training will consist of both written exercises and hands-on activities. Workbooks and pens will be provided. Please bring markers for colouring!

Once the PA training session is complete, PAs will be asked to assist our younger skaters during CanSkate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-6:45pm. If we do not receive written communication from you, we will assume that your skater is available to help with CanSkate on both Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If your skater cannot attend the training, please contact Coach Sam to make alternate arrangements.
